My role: planned, recorded, edited and designed the whole tutorial.

The project

Let's Talk Senior Care was an online forum for seniors and their families. I produced a tutorial that walks a new member through the whole site, from finding their way around to posting and sending private messages.

The forum has since closed. I'm showing only a few screens.

How it works

  1. One task per clip. Each video is named for the thing you're trying to do, such as Reading a Thread or Replying to a Discussion.
  2. A yellow circle follows the cursor, so the viewer can see where to look and where to click.
  3. In the screenshots, a purple box marks the part of the screen each step is about. I made the callouts and arrows in Photoshop.
  4. Every clip has matching stills, so a member can watch it or read it.
